Which of the following statement is incorrect about the anodic coating?

(a) Protects the metal from corrosion sacrificially

(b) Base metal is not corroded

(c) Example- coating of tin on iron

(d) No negative consequence

This question was posed to me in class test.

My question comes from Protective Measures Against Corrosion topic in section Corrosion, Electrolysis, Fuel Cells and Batteries of Engineering Chemistry II

Right answer is (c) Example- coating of tin on iron

The best I can explain: Example- coating of zinc on iron. All the other options are correct.
