Which of the following is a non-petroleum source?

I had been asked this question by my college director while I was bunking the class.

This intriguing question comes from Petrochemicals in division Fuels and Combustion of Engineering Chemistry II

The correct option is (a) CaC2

To explain: Calcium carbide (CaC2) is a non-petroleum source that is not obtained from the fraction of petroleum or natural gas. Calcium carbide was earlier used for the production of acetylene, which was then recovered from fractions of petroleum.
