The Top view of an object is shown on which plane?

(b) Vertical plane

(c) Horizontal plane

(d) Parallel plane

I got this question in a job interview.

My enquiry is from Basics of Orthographic Projections in section Loci of Points & Orthographic Projections of Engineering Drawing

The correct answer is (c) Horizontal plane

For explanation: The front view will be shown on vertical plane, top view will be represented on horizontal plane and side view will be represents on profile plane. The top view gives thickness and width of the object.
