The correct answer is (b) 14.14 cm

To elaborate: Given the square is parallel to vertical plane ad diagonal is perpendicular to xy reference plane the top view and side gives a line and both of same length which is equal to diagonal length L= 2 x √(5^2+5^2 ) = 14.14 cm.
