What is the streak given by calcite minerals?

(a) Colourless

(b) White

(c) Black

(d) Yellow

This question was posed to me by my college professor while I was bunking the class.

My question is based upon Formation and Descriptive Study of Minerals topic in division The Study of Minerals of Engineering Geology

Correct option is (b) White

For explanation: Unlike the quartz minerals, the carbonate minerals give white streak which is an important distinguishing property of the minerals from other groups.
