Which is the rock present in the majority on the surface of earth?

(a) Igneous rock

(b) Sedimentary rock

(c) Metamorphic rock

The question was posed to me during an interview for a job.

My doubt is from Sedimentary Rocks and Their Mode of Formation topic in section The Study of Rocks of Engineering Geology

Correct option is (b) Sedimentary rock

To explain: Sedimentary rocks are known to cover as much as 75 percent of the surface of the earth the rest being covered by the igneous rocks and the metamorphic rocks.
