The question was posed to me in an interview for internship.

My doubt stems from Important Metamorphic Rocks in section The Study of Rocks of Engineering Geology

Correct option is (b) Gneiss

To explain: Gneiss is a unique metamorphic rock which is formed by the thermodynamic process of metamorphism. Whereas the other rocks are either formed by thermal or dynamic methamorphism.
