An aquifer can hold water _________ and the state of water is _________

The question was posed to me in unit test.

The correct choice is (b) Temporarily – State of flow

For explanation: It must be remembered that an aquifer can hold water only temporarily, as the water is always in a state of flow in it. However, the rate of flow of water through an aquifer is very slow compared to surface waters.
