Caspian sea is which type of lake?

(a) Large lake

(b) Fresh-water lake

(c) Saline lake

(d) Stream lake

I got this question by my school teacher while I was bunking the class.

My question is from Lakes topic in division Physiographic Features of Engineering Geology

Correct option is (c) Saline lake

To explain I would say: The biggest lake, the Caspian Sea, is a lake belonging saline type. In other cases, the salinity of the lake is easily attributed to the dry climate, which causes precipitation of salts that form layers along the bottom and banks of the lakes.
