What does ‘50’ represents in 50H8/g7?

I have been asked this question by my college director while I was bunking the class.

This interesting question is from Terminology in section Limits, Fits and Gauges of Engineering Metrology

The correct choice is (a) Basic size

The explanation is: 50 represent the basic size of the hole and shaft.  H and g are the positions of tolerance zone with respect to zero line for hole and shaft respectively. 8 and 7 are the tolerance size.
