I have been asked this question by my college professor while I was bunking the class.

Right option is (a) Contact measurement

The explanation: Autocollimator is used in many applications like in shop floors and metrology labs. Used for precision measurement of parallelism, straightness, flatness, perpendicularity etc. It is a not-contact optical instrument.
