The question was posed to me in my homework.

I want to ask this question from Involute Curve in division Measurement and Testing of Gears of Engineering Metrology

The correct answer is (c) Straight

Best explanation: The straight teeth are present in involute rack. Only a simple cutter is needed to form the complex involute form on gear. It is an advantage which is associated with involute curve or profile.
