Right choice is (a) 2, 180 degree apart

The best explanation: In testing cutter spindle axial slip, if the feeler touches at the same spot where the turning tool on the emery wheel has machined the spindle collar in the assembled machine, then the feeler will not show deviation. Therefore, axial slip must be tested at two points 180 degree apart on the collar of the spindle.
