The internal torque on the system due to internal force is ___________

This question was addressed to me in a job interview.

My question is based upon Forces of Nature topic in chapter Gravitation of Engineering Physics I

Right option is (d) Zero

The explanation: According to Newton’s third law, the internal torque on the system due to internal forces is zero because the forces between any two particles are equal and opposite and directed along the line joining the two particles. Hence the total torque is due to external forces only.
