If the orbital radius of the earth is made 4 times, then find the duration of the year if earlier it was T?

This question was addressed to me in semester exam.

This interesting question is from Orbital Velocity in division Kinetic Theory of Gases of Engineering Physics I

Correct option is (d) 8T

The explanation: T2/T1 =(4r/r)^(3/2)=(4)^(3/2)=8

T2=8T1=8T.
