I have been asked this question in homework.

I want to ask this question from Thermodynamics in chapter Kinetic Theory of Gases of Engineering Physics I

Right option is (d) Work done by non0conservative force

Easiest explanation: Work done by non-conservative force is not a state of function. The work done will be different along different paths between two given states of the system.
