When will the convex lens give a real image?

(a) Beyond optical centre

(b) Beyond focus

(c) Beyond centre of curvature

(d) Between focus and curvature

I have been asked this question by my college director while I was bunking the class.

This interesting question is from Lenses topic in section Optics of Engineering Physics II

The correct choice is (b) Beyond focus

The explanation: When the object is situated beyond Focus, the convex lens will always give a real image. If the object is situated in between Focus and curvature, the image will be beyond 2F and the image will be virtual.
