How many lenses are used in Fresnel Diffraction?

(a) Two Convex lenses

(b) Two Concave lenses

(c) One Convex lens

(d) No lens used

The question was posed to me during an interview.

My doubt stems from Fresnel Diffraction topic in division Optics of Engineering Physics II

The correct answer is (d) No lens used

Explanation: In Fresnel Diffraction, no lenses are used. The interference takes place between different light waves arriving at a point from the same wavefront. In this case, the phase of all the waves is not the same.
