I had been asked this question during an interview.

Asked question is from Helium Neon Laser in division Laser of Engineering Physics II

Correct answer is (c) He-Ne

To explain: He-Ne laser is a four-level laser. Whenever an electric discharge is passed through the gas, the helium atoms gets to higher energy states, as the concentration of helium atoms is higher. It was one of the first successfully operated laser.
