Which of the following is n-type semiconductor?

(a) CaO

(b) MgO

(c) ZnO

(d) BaO

The question was posed to me by my college director while I was bunking the class.

My query is from Classification of Semiconductors topic in division Semiconductors of Engineering Physics II

Right answer is (c) ZnO

The explanation: II-VI semiconductors are generally p-type semiconductors except for ZnO and ZnTe. II-VI semiconductors are those which contain atoms of materials that have 2 valence electrons and 6 valence electrons.
