Which of the following is not a use of Rectifier Diode?

(a) Voltage Reference

(b) Detection signals

(c) Voltage regulator

(d) LASER diodes

This question was posed to me by my college director while I was bunking the class.

The correct answer is (c) Voltage regulator

Easiest explanation: Rectifier diode is used for Voltage reference, detection signals and LASER diodes as well. Zener Diode is used as a voltage regulator.
