If a material is ferromagnetic, what shall be the value of χ?

(a) Negative

(b) Small and positive

(c) Large and Positive

(d) Insufficient information

This question was posed to me in semester exam.

My question comes from Classification of Magnetic Materials topic in portion Magnetic Properties of Materials of Engineering Physics II

Correct choice is (c) Large and Positive

For explanation I would say: When a material is ferromagnetic, the magnetic susceptibility, χ, is large and positive. For a diamagnetic material it is negative and for a paramagnetic material, it is small and positive.
