My question comes from Addressing Modes of 80386, Data Types of 80386 in chapter 32-bit Processors-80386, 80387 and 80486 of Microprocessor

Correct choice is (d) 4 GB

For explanation I would say: Bit string is a string of contiguous bits of maximum 4Gbytes in length.
