Which type of commutation circuit does not work on no load?

(a) Voltage commutation

(b) Current commutation

(c) Both voltage and current commutation

(d) None of the mentioned

This question was addressed to me in an internship interview.

Right answer is (a) Voltage commutation

The best I can explain: This is because the capacitor won’t be able to charge on no load.
