I had been asked this question by my college professor while I was bunking the class.

My question is based upon SCR Commutation Techniques-1 in chapter Other Circuits of Power Electronics

The correct choice is (b) load

For explanation I would say: Load commuation is used in inverter in which L and C are connected in series with the load or C in parallel with the load such that overall load circuit is under damped.
