In the multiple pulse width modulation method, the firing pulses are generate during the interval when the

(a) triangular wave exceeds the square modulating wave

This question was posed to me in an interview.

Right option is (a) triangular wave exceeds the square modulating wave

The best explanation: The firing pulses to turn on the SCRs (or any other equivalent device) are generated when the triangular carrier signal exceeds the square reference signal.
