What is stability plasticity dilemma ?

(a) system can neither be stable nor plastic

(b) static inputs & categorization can’t be handled

(c) dynamic inputs & categorization can’t be handled

(d) none of the mentioned

This question was posed to me in quiz.

My doubt stems from Introduction in section Introduction of Neural Networks

The correct option is (c) dynamic inputs & categorization can’t be handled

To explain I would say: If system is allowed to change its categorization according to inputs it cannot be used for patterns classification & assessment.
