In case of autoassociation  by feedback nets in pattern recognition task, what is the behaviour expected?

(a) accretive

(b) interpolative

(c) can be either accretive or interpolative

(d) none of the mentioned

The question was posed to me by my school teacher while I was bunking the class.

My question comes from Pattern Association in division Feedforward Neural Networks of Neural Networks

The correct option is (b) interpolative

For explanation I would say: When a noisy pattern is given , network retrieves a noisy pattern.
