If alkyl group increases, what happens to ortho: para ratio?

This question was posed to me in an interview for job.

My question comes from Nitration of Organic Solvent topic in section Nitration of Unit Processes

The correct option is (c) Decreases

The best I can explain: If alkyl group increases, the ortho substituted product decreases and ortho: para ratio decreases.
