(d) IR

I had been asked this question in an interview for internship.

I want to ask this question from CPU & Control Unit in chapter Processor & Memory of Computer Fundamentals

Correct option is (d) IR

To elaborate: The IR which stands for the instruction register contains the last instruction fetched.

All the others options are registers which are used for the fetch operation.
