I had been asked this question during an interview for a job.

The doubt is from Multithreading in chapter Going Parallel, Handling Actuator and Sensor of IOT

Correct option is (a) Thread.Sleep

The best I can explain: A particular thread of the application can be blocked forever by calling Thread.Sleep(Timeout.Infinite).
