Co-channel interference is a function of _________

(a) Radius of cell

(b) Transmitted power

This question was posed to me by my school principal while I was bunking the class.

My doubt is from Interference and System Capacity in section The Cellular Concept – System Design Fundamentals of Wireless/Mobile

Correct answer is (a) Radius of cell

To explain I would say: This is the case when the size of each cell is approximately the same and the base stations transmit the same power. Co-channel interference ratio is independent of the transmitted power and becomes a function of the radius of the cell ® and the distance between centers of the nearest co channel cell (D).
