I got this question by my college director while I was bunking the class.

The question is from Thermodynamic State Variables and Equation of State in portion Thermodynamics of Physics – Class 11

Correct option is (b) False

For explanation I would say: Equation of state is a relation between state variables.                                                                      Only in the case of ideal gases it is PV=nRT.                                                                                                     So, there is a difference between the ideal gas equation and the equation of state in general.
