Which of the following alkali metal cannot form superoxide?

(a) Potassium

(b) Lithium

(c) Sodium

(d) Cesium

This question was posed to me during an internship interview.

My query is from s-Block Elements in division s-Block Elements of Chemistry – Class 11

The correct choice is (b) Lithium

For explanation I would say: All the alkali metals when heated with oxygen form different types of oxides. Lithium forms lithium oxide and some amount of lithium peroxide, while Sodium, Potassium, rubidium, and cesium can form superoxide.
