The correct choice is (a) False

The explanation: The acidic strength of the oxoacids of the same halogen can be determined by the oxidation number of the halogen in the compound. In HClO4 the oxidation number of chlorine is +7 and in HClO the oxidation number of chlorine is +1. So, the acidic strength of HClO4 is greater than HClO.
