Which of the following is incorrect with respect to fructose?

(a) It is a ketohexose

(b) It is present in honey

(c) It has ‘L’ configuration

(d) It is known as laevulose

The correct choice is (c) It has ‘L’ configuration

To explain: Fructose is an important ketohexose that naturally occurs in fruits and honey. It has a ketonic group at C2 carbon with six carbon in a straight chain. It belongs to D-series (with respect to glyceraldehyde) and is laevorotatory.
