What is lactational amenorrhea?

The explanation: Lactational amenorrhea is the inability of a female to menstruate after parturition. This is the time when the female lactates extensively to support the growth and nourishment of the baby. Lack of menstruation removes the burden of blood loss and weakness and also acts as a measure to prevent another pregnancy before the baby is grown sufficiently to feed himself/herself.
