The best I can explain: A bag has 23 balls; 12 red, 5 blue and 6 green. When a ball is picked from bag, it can be of red, blue or green. So possible outcome of picking green ball from bag is 6. Hence, the probability of picking a green ball from the bag is \(\frac{6}{23}\).
