Which of the following gas, should never be used as the carrier of abrasives?

(a) Nitrogen

(b) CO2

(c) Oxygen

(d) Air

This question was addressed to me during an online interview.

My question is taken from Abrasive Jet Machining topic in chapter Mechanical Processes of Advanced Machining

The correct option is (c) Oxygen

The explanation is: Oxygen should not be used as carrier because it causes a violent chemical reaction with abrasives or work piece.
