What happens to the product cycle time, if the machining performance is improved?

The question was posed to me in my homework.

My question comes from ECM-Process Control in chapter Electrochemical Processes of Advanced Machining

The correct choice is (b) Decreases

To explain I would say: As the machining performance is improved, the time take for a product to complete its production cycle, decreases.
