Which of the following is one of the main production unit of the chloride process?

The question was posed to me by my school teacher while I was bunking the class.

Origin of the question is Chemical Processes of Titanium in section Titanium and its Alloys of Aerospace Materials & Processes

Correct answer is (c) Oxidation

To explain I would say: In the chloride process, there are main production units and auxiliary production units. Oxidation is one of the main production units. Here, the oxidizing agent for the oxidation process is molecular oxygen.
