This question was addressed to me by my college director while I was bunking the class.

This intriguing question comes from Types of Diode and their Testing in division Diode Circuit of Analog Circuits

Correct option is (b) False

The best explanation: A Light Emitting Diode works just like any other diode and hence it does not conduct under reverse bias operation and hence the LED will not glow.
