If the inverse of transconductance is .5KS^-1, what should be the value of Rc so that the overall voltage gain is 8?

I had been asked this question in an interview for internship.

Right choice is (c) About 4K

To elaborate: The voltage gain is given by gmRd. So, gm become 2mS and a resistance of 4k Ω will be necessary.
