My question is based upon Carrier Acquistion Techniques in DSB-SC topic in chapter Double Sideband Suppressed Carrier Modulation of Analog Communications

Correct option is (b) False

To elaborate: Armstrong Modulator can also generate PM along with FM. So the statement is incorrect. Thus, collectively Armstrong modulator is an Angle Modulator, where the angle of the carrier wave is varied with respect to the instantaneous amplitude of modulating signal.
