Nuclear induction probes’ one coil is used for signal detection. What is the function of the other coil?

The correct choice is (a) Sample irradiation

To explain I would say: Crossed coil probes are also called nuclear induction probes. One coil is used for irradiating the sample. The other coil is mounted orthogonally for signal detection.
