Which of the following is not a component of mass spectrometer?

(b) Sweep generator

(c) Ion transducer

(d) Mass analyser

I had been asked this question during an internship interview.

I'm obligated to ask this question of Components of Mass Spectrometer in division Mass Spectrometer of Analytical Instrumentation

Right answer is (b) Sweep generator

The best I can explain: Sweep generator is not a component of a mass spectrometer. It is a component of NMR spectrometer.
