What is the pressure maintained during the process of thermal cracking?

(a) 10-13Mpa

(b) 1-3MPa

(c) 0.1-0.5MPa

(d) 6-7MPa

The question was posed to me during a job interview.

This is a very interesting question from Fuels in division Fuels, Intake System & Leakage Preventers of Automotive Engine Design

Right answer is (b) 1-3MPa

The best I can explain: The octane number of the gasoline obtained by thermal cracking is 75, 1-3MPa the pressure maintained during the process of thermal cracking and 500^oC is the temperature maintained during the thermal cracking process.
