Unfolding of regular secondary protein structure causes:

(d) Large increase in the entropy of the protein

When a protein unfolds, the ordered structure of the secondary protein conformation (such as alpha-helices and beta-sheets) becomes disordered. This increase in disorder results in a large increase in the entropy of the protein.
