How is polyethylene manufactured?

(a) Low pressure metal oxide process

(b) Low pressure Ziegler process

The origin of the question is Ethenic Polymers in section Polymerization Industries of Chemical Technology

The correct choice is (b) Low pressure Ziegler process

To explain I would say: High purity polyethylene is manufactured by desulphuring and removing the light ends followed buy removal of excess oxygen combined with titanium tetrachloride to produce a saturated paraffin.
