What occurs when two or more particles are present in the sensing zone at the same time?

Best explanation: Coincidence error occurs when two or more particles are present in the sensing zone at the same time. This will result in the instrument detecting fewer particles that are actually present. This will also result in the instrument adding the pulses together to produce a single much longer pulse.
